How it works

• Focused ultrasound is directed to set depths beneath the skin, creating tiny points of heat in the deeper layers that support the face.
• The surface of the skin is left intact, which is why there is little visible downtime.
• The skin responds by producing new collagen, so firmness develops gradually over the following weeks rather than on the day.
• Because it works on the deeper supporting layer, it is often chosen for jawline and lower-face definition.

Who it suits — and who it does not

• Adults with mild to moderate laxity along the jawline, cheeks or under the chin.
• Clients who want a non-surgical option with little interruption to work.
• It is not suitable during pregnancy, over active skin infection or open wounds, or where there are certain implants in the treatment area. Tell staff about fillers, threads, metal implants or medical conditions.
• Significant sagging may be better served by a surgical opinion, and our staff will say so honestly.

What happens in a session

1. Your face is cleansed and the treatment lines are mapped.
2. A thin layer of ultrasound gel is applied.
3. The handpiece is passed along each area; many clients feel brief warm or prickling pulses.
4. The gel is removed and a soothing moisturiser and sunscreen are applied.

Aftercare

• Use sunscreen daily and keep the routine gentle for a few days.
• Mild redness, swelling or tenderness usually settles within days.
• Avoid very hot environments such as saunas for a day or two.
• Firmness builds gradually; judge the result over the following weeks.
